After the Summer

The photographs on display were taken by Bernard Plossu between the 1980s and the 2010s on small Italian islands.

In over thirty years of travel, the author transforms ordinary scenes into intense visions suspended in time. Moving between places such as Stromboli and Elba, Plossu seeks a profound dialogue between man and nature. His gaze, cultured and enamored with Italy, combines literature and pictorial sensitivity, resulting in essential and poetic photography, understood as an experience of freedom and inner knowledge.
