The exhibition explores the work of three emblematic figures in the history of photography—Auguste Belloc, Wilhelm von Gloeden, and Carlo Mollino—analyzing how the treatment of the nude has evolved from an academic exercise to an introspective investigation, often bordering on the obsessive and disturbing.
The exhibition highlights how the strong erotic content of these photographic collections, although historically contextualized to their respective periods of production, continues to stimulate contemporary sensibilities through the authors’ blatant voyeuristic pleasure.
