The exhibition dedicated to Greek director, screenwriter, and producer Yorgos Lanthimos (Athens, 1973) highlights a lesser-known but central aspect of his work: photography, marked by a restless and conceptual gaze.
The works, created in the creative context of the films Poor Things (2023) and Kinds of Kindness (2024), alternate between references to cinematic scenes and autonomous images that explore isolation, the body, and space as psychological places. Figures such as Emma Stone and Willem Dafoe appear suspended in minimalist environments, while details and geometries accentuate a sense of alienation. The light, sharp and almost clinical, defines the subjects and reinforces the narrative ambiguity of the shots, resulting in an immersive journey that highlights the continuity between cinema and photography in his imagery.
