Works in Progress continues with a new event at GAM Torino. Throughout the afternoon, a selection of projects—some hot off the press and others still in progress—will be presented, exploring the relationship between the body, time, and transformation from various perspectives.

 

Francesca Cirilli will present Gravida di tutte le stagioni (Pregnant with All Seasons), a poetic return to the earth in which the act of cultivation becomes a performative gesture and a space for listening, care, and coexistence.

 

Giorgio Andreoni will present three autobiographical works – Cucciolo, Luna in Scorpione, and Icaro – that explore fragility and memory by using photography as a space through which to observe and transform what initially appears as a limitation, working at the intersection of body and change.

 

Federica Mambrini, with L’albergo della lontananza, will present an exploration of the long-distance relationship between two people, separated by Italy and Chile, analyzed through specific architectural situations, studied or created to define the role and limits of the visual and the built environment.

 

Ilaria Turba will present a participatory project, Les pains du désir, in which desires take shape as bread, then transformed and destroyed, prompting a reflection on the possibility of bringing a living, relational experience into museums.
