The acrobatic kiosk

Is it a kiosk or a circus? Neither: it’s an acrobatic kiosk!

To mark Paolo Ventura’s exhibition Acrobats, 2020-2025, the kiosk on the corner of Piazza San Carlo and Via Giolitti is transformed into an Acrobatic Kiosk.

Curated by Libreria Marini, the project returns the newsstand to its original purpose, filling it with books, photographs, magazines, and ephemera that engage with Ventura’s poetic and suspended universe. Amid circus-like atmospheres, memories of the 20th century, and colorful stories, the newsstand becomes a space of imagination and wonder.

The opening, open to the public, will take place on Friday, May 22, at 7 pm, with Paolo Ventura, Walter Guadagnini, Adele Marini, and Martha Micali in attendance.

The acrobatic kiosk is presented with the support and cooperation of the City of Turin.
